Using BBJ Materials Handling’s Layer Pads between layers of glass, aluminium, metal, coated products, and other delicate materials solves several major operational and product protection problems in warehouses, logistics facilities, and distribution centres. When products rub directly against each other during transport or pallet movement, surfaces can become scratched, scuffed, or marked. Our Layer Pads create a protective barrier between layers preventing glass scratching, aluminium scuffing, paint damage, coating wear, surface abrasions and cosmetic defects. Fragile products such as glass bottles and polished materials are vulnerable to cracking or breaking when pallets shift, but Layer Pads absorb vibration and reduce direct contact pressure helping minimise cracks, chips and breakage.
IWM Layer Pad Washers work well with our Layer Pads. They offer a conveyorised design that wash Layer Pads on a continuous basis. IWM Layer Pad Washers automatically clean and sanitise our reusable Layer Pads to maintain hygiene standards and keep operations efficient. This system is especially important where reusable Layer Pads are used repeatedly in closed-loop logistics systems.
IWM Layer Pad Washers feature:
- Sustained jetting with hot water and detergent, re-circulated from a heated wash tank, powered by a 10Hp pump
- Two stage brushing from internally driven rotary brushes
- Sustained jetting with hot water to remove detergent, re-circulated from heated rinse tank, powered by a 10Hp pump. Can be heated to 85°Cfor sanitation
- Solenoid controlled fresh rinse (from mains)
- Full high pressure water removal
- Auto-stacking system
- Full drying is essential on these machines and all models come with high-velocity air knife total drying systems.
